1.What battery does the D710V MK2 use?
It runs on one 21700 Li-ion cell (3.6 V, 5,000 mAh) with a built-in USB-C port. 

2.How do I charge the D710V MK2?
Red means charging, green means full. The light body itself has no charging port.

3.How do I switch between the white, red and UV light sources?
Press the titanium side switch to step through High white (2,300 lm), Low white (750 lm), Red (150 lm), UV (10 lm) and off.

4.How long does the battery last on each mode?
White High (2,300 lm) 1 h 20 min, White Low (750 lm) 2 h 40 min, Red (150 lm) 4 h 10 min, UV (10 lm) 2 h 30 min — measured to ANSI/NEMA FL1 with a fresh OrcaTorch cell.

5.What is the UV mode for, and how close do I need to get?
The UV beam excites fluorescence in corals and critters for fluorescence night diving — no filter needed. Its range is short, so get within about a metre of the subject for the full effect.

6.How to activate the lock/unlock funciton?
Hold on the side switch for 5s to lock the torch in power off, and double click the side button to unlock after it is locked (the light will flashes twice as a reminder when it is locked or unlocked.)

7.When should I use the red light?
Red lets you light shy creatures such as octopus or squid without spooking them, and it preserves your own night vision between shots.
