246.56m and Beyond: How Orcatorch Lights Survived My Deepest Dives

My journey into the depths of underwater exploration began over two decades ago, and it has been a thrilling adventure ever since. From the very first time I donned my scuba gear and slipped beneath the waves, I was captivated by the mysterious allure of the deep. Each dive presented a new challenge, a new discovery, and a new opportunity to push the boundaries of what I thought possible. Over the years, my passion for diving has only grown stronger, leading me to specialize in technical diving and cave exploration. I am now a technical diver and instructor for cave and trimix diving.

I was introduced to the Orcatorch brand in 2020 and have become an instant fan. In March 2021, I set a new Woman’s World Record for the deepest scuba dive at 236.04m in Boesmansgat Cave, South Africa, and in October 2022 surpassed that record with a depth of 246.56m. On both dives, I used the Orcatorch D630 v2.0, which performed flawlessly on both dives even at such extreme depths. Since then, Orcatorch has become my preferred brand.

The Orcatorch D630 v2.0 is my primary light for cave diving, but the Orcatorch D710 is one of my favorites, with a maximum output of 3000 lumens and five color options. It is perfect for recreational and technical diving.  I also often use the Orcatorch D910V and D710v for taking videos and pictures in the cave environment.

Orcatorch offers a wide variety of lights for all facets of diving. I own a number of different Orcatorch lights and I love them all.
